Amnesiac
About this Album
Amnesiac is the fifth studio album by Radiohead, released in June 2001. It was recorded with producer Nigel Godrich in the same long sessions as Kid A, and the band divided the material across two albums because they felt it was too dense for a double.[1]
Critics largely received it warmly, though comparisons with Kid A and a recurring suspicion that it was a set of leftovers shaped much early commentary.[2] It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and number two on the US Billboard 200, and earned a Mercury Prize nomination.[1] Its lead single, "Pyramid Song," is a hushed meditation on death and cyclical time that anchors the record's more fractured electronic moods.
