Bass Persuades

Bass Persuades is the tenth studio album by Miley Cyrus, released September 18, 2026 through Atlantic Records. It is her first album released under the stylized mononym Miley rather than her full name.

The ten-track record runs under forty minutes and was shaped by a tight circle of collaborators including Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack, and her fiance Maxx Morando, with the art-rock duo Model/Actriz featured on two tracks and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow also credited. Cyrus has described the album as a reflection of her current relationship with Morando and a broader theme of self-love, calling it a layered love story that captures the full emotional range of a life, from joy to heartache.

The album follows 2025's Something Beautiful and arrives after a period of personal and professional stability for Cyrus, including her Grammy wins for Flowers and her engagement to Morando. Cyrus will support the album with two shows at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18, 2026, with Model/Actriz opening.

Cyrus and Morando, who have been together since a blind date in late 2021, got engaged after he proposed on a trip to Kyoto, Japan, leading her into a restricted hotel garden under a pretext before dropping to one knee^[1]. Lead single and title track "Bass Persuades" sets the album's emotional register before the more overtly romantic songs that follow, urging listeners to put down their phones and lose themselves physically in music and in each other rather than in the performance of being watched^[2].
