About this Album

Christmas is a 1999 EP by Low, released on Kranky as a gift to fans.[1] It runs just under thirty minutes across eight songs, mixing originals with reworked standards such as "The Little Drummer Boy," "Blue Christmas" and "Silent Night."[1] The band's own site describes it as extending their minimalism toward a warmer, more festive sound.[2] Critics were warm: NME gave it nine out of ten, and AllMusic four stars.[1]
