About this Album

Fleetwood Mac (1975) was the band's tenth studio album and the first with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, who joined after Bob Welch left in late 1974.[1] It was recorded in January and February 1975 at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, with Keith Olsen producing, and released on Reprise on 11 July 1975.[1]

The record was a slow burn. It debuted low on the Billboard 200, rose after the single "Rhiannon", and reached number one in September 1976, about a year after its release.[1] It has been certified nine times platinum in the US, and Rolling Stone ranked it among its 500 greatest albums.[1] Songs such as "Landslide", written by Nicks before she joined the band, show how the new members' material reshaped the group's sound.
