About this Album
Heavy Is the Crown is a collaborative album by Anderson .Paak and Cordae, released October 23, 2026 through APESHIT, Mass Appeal and EMPIRE. Its cover art nods to the comedy Step Brothers, and the project celebrates brotherhood and artistic chemistry while balancing real-life stakes against fun. J. Cole, 9th Wonder, Conductor Williams and Swizz Beatz have been named as collaborators. Its lead single is A Good Day.
The record has no guest features[1] and, per one review, touches on relationship fallout, loneliness and co-parenting alongside its playful tone.[2] Critics have been warm but divided, with scores ranging from 3 out of 5 to 4 out of 5.[1][3] The closing stretch, including Karma Tax, Helpless and Godfather II, turns toward vulnerability and the cost of success.[3]
