About this Album

Hey What is the thirteenth and final studio album by Low, released on September 10, 2021 through Sub Pop.[1] It is the only Low album made by the core duo of Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker alone, and the third produced by BJ Burton, following on from the heavily distorted sound of Double Negative (2018).[1]

Critics described the album as organized chaos, with clear, harmonized vocals set against loud electronic noise, and read the contrast as a sign that darkness and light are linked.[1] It was widely acclaimed, earning 84 out of 100 on Metacritic and a place at number five on Pitchfork's list of the best albums of 2021.[1] Singles included "Days Like These," "Disappearing" and "More."[1] After Parker's death in 2022, it has been widely regarded as the band's final statement.[1]
