Lush
About this Album
Lush is the 2018 debut studio album by Snail Mail, the project of Lindsey Jordan, released on June 8, 2018 through Matador Records and produced by Jake Aron[3]. Jordan reportedly wrote around thirty songs over about a year and a half and kept ten[1].
It was recorded at Outlier Inn in upstate New York and at a Brooklyn studio, with a deliberately clean, guitar-forward sound that Jordan described as the cleanest rock record she could make[2][3]. At roughly thirty-nine minutes, it moves from the crushes of its early songs toward broader worries about friendship, identity and songwriting[2].
Critics responded warmly, with Pitchfork awarding it 8.7 out of 10 and Metacritic landing at 80[3]. Singles included "Pristine", "Heat Wave" and "Let's Find an Out"[3].
