About this Album

Pylon is beabadoobee's fourth studio album, released September 18, 2026 through Dirty Hit and Interscope Records. Much of it was written alone in hotel rooms while she was touring, a working method she has compared to how she wrote songs at seventeen, alone in her bedroom. The title borrows its imagery from electricity transmission towers she watched from tour windows, structures that came to symbolize her connection to friends and family back home even during the most isolated stretches of the road.

She has described the record as a place for thoughts she hadn't previously been able to say out loud, closer to a set of diary entries than a conventional song cycle. Sonically it marks a rougher turn than 2024's Rick Rubin-produced This Is How Tomorrow Moves, pulling from 1990s grunge and Midwest emo rather than arena-scale polish. The lead single, Sun Has Set, set that tone by refusing any reconciliation with the past.

The album features a notably heavy lineup of collaborators, including Hayley Williams, Turnstile's Brendan Yates, Deftones' Chino Moreno, Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall, Title Fight's Shane Moran, and Matty Healy and George Daniel of The 1975.
