Sanam Re

The Sanam Re soundtrack is the accompanying album to the 2016 Bollywood romantic drama of the same name, directed by Divya Khosla Kumar and produced under T-Series Films. Released on 4 January 2016, the album features compositions by four distinct composers: Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli, and Epic Bhangra, creating a sonic range from soulful Sufi ballads to energetic Bhangra numbers.^[1]

The title track, composed and written by Mithoon and sung by Arijit Singh, was released ahead of the album as a single on 22 December 2015 and quickly became a standalone phenomenon. The soundtrack received a 4/5 rating from Bollywood Hungama, with the title track singled out as its centerpiece.^[2] Though the film itself received mixed critical reviews, the music was consistently identified as its strongest element.

The album features notable performances across its eight tracks, including Arijit Singh, Armaan Malik, Palak Muchhal, Shreya Ghoshal, Ankit Tiwari, Jaz Dhami, and Neha Kakkar. Lyricists contributing to the project include Rashmi Virag, Mithoon, Manoj Muntashir, Manoj Yadav, and Kumaar.^[1]
