Say It Loud: I'm Black and I'm Proud
About this Album
Released on King Records in March 1969, this James Brown album takes its name from the 1968 single that became an unofficial anthem of the Black Power movement.[1] It entered Billboard's album chart in April 1969 and peaked at number 53 during a twenty-two week run.[1]
The title track, recorded in August 1968 in Los Angeles, reached number one on the R&B singles chart and number ten on the Hot 100.[2]
