Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)
About this Album
Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) is David Bowie's fourteenth studio album, released in September 1980 and produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti. It followed the Berlin-era experiments with a harder, more confrontational sound, pairing aggressive guitars with cutting-edge studio technique and a taste for minimalism.
Its lead single, "Ashes to Ashes," revisited the astronaut Major Tom from "Space Oddity" and was framed by Bowie as an epitaph for the 1970s. The single reached number one in the UK.
