War
About this Album
War is the third studio album by U2, released on 28 February 1983. It was recorded at Windmill Lane Studios in Dublin with producer Steve Lillywhite and topped the UK albums chart, reaching number 12 in the United States.
Its themes of conflict, faith and the cost of violence open with "Sunday Bloody Sunday", a response to the 1972 killings in Derry, and mark a harder, more outward-looking turn from the band's first two albums.
