Elvis Perkins

Person

Biography

Elvis Perkins is an American singer-songwriter and the son of actor Anthony Perkins, who died in 1992, and photographer Berry Berenson, who died in the September 11 attacks[2].

His debut album, Ash Wednesday (2007), turned those losses into a set of folk songs praised for their restraint and warmth[2][3]. His writing blends old-world formality with a conversational folk manner, and he has spoken of the tension between making his own way and honoring his family's legacy[2].
