Biography
Fcukers are a New York electronic duo made up of vocalist Shanny Wise and Jackson Walker Lewis, who plays bass and keys and produces.[1] Wise was born and raised in New York, while Lewis is originally from Los Angeles and has lived in New York for about a decade.[2]
A mutual friend introduced them, and Lewis invited Wise to sing on an early demo. Both had grown tired of making indie music and had been experimenting with electronic songs on their own.[2] Lewis played in rock bands from high school, then fell for 1990s house music while DJing a weekly Monday club night, building his sets from cheap club records found in bargain bins.[2]
Their first release as a band came in 2023.[2] They broke out in 2024 with the EP Baggy$$ and went on to support acts including LCD Soundsystem, HAIM, Justice, Disclosure and Confidence Man.[1] Their sound blends 1990s house, UK garage and trip hop.[1]
Their debut album, Ö, was released on 27 March 2026 through Ninja Tune. It was recorded in about two weeks with producer Kenneth Blume (Kenny Beats), with additional production from Dylan Brady of 100 gecs.[1]
