Grace Ives

Person

Biography

Grace Ives is an American singer-songwriter who grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and came of age around the city's DIY show scene[1]. Her albums include 2nd, Janky Star (2022), and Girlfriend (2026), her third, released through True Panther Sounds and Capitol Records[2].

Girlfriend was written and recorded over about two years, largely in Los Angeles, with Ariel Rechtshaid and John DeBold co-producing, and followed a period in which Ives got sober after what she called a true rock bottom[2]. The record was widely acclaimed, earning a Best New Music tag from Pitchfork[2].
