Biography
Gucci Mane (Radric Delantic Davis) was born on February 12, 1980, in Bessemer, Alabama, and moved to Atlanta at age nine.[1] His 2005 debut Trap House on Big Cat Records reached the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Icy" with Young Jeezy.[1]
He founded the Atlantic-distributed imprint 1017 Records in 2007, and associates describe an extraordinary work rate, with several finished songs in a single day.[1][2] A federal firearm case led to roughly two years of incarceration between 2014 and 2016.[1] After his release he issued Everybody Looking, which peaked at No. 2, and published a memoir in 2017.[1]
His 2025 album Episodes came with a memoir about mental illness and addiction, and his 2026 album Against All Odds looks back across the eras of his career.[3][4]
