Biography
Hotline TNT is the New York indie rock project of songwriter Will Anderson, who plays most of the instruments on its records.
Anderson grew up in Wisconsin and moved through several music scenes, including Minneapolis and Vancouver, before settling in New York.[1][2] Earlier in his career he played in the noise-rock band Weed (2008 to 2017) and a number of other indie groups.[2] Accounts differ on when Hotline TNT began, with some dating it to 2018 and others to its 2021 debut, Nineteen in Love.[1][2]
The band signed to Third Man Records in July 2023 and released its second album, Cartwheel, that November.[3] Critics have compared its mix of shoegaze haze and power-pop hooks to Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine and Bob Mould.[4]
