Biography
Mannequin Pussy is a punk band from Philadelphia, led by vocalist and guitarist Marisa Dabice. The lineup on their 2024 album includes Kaleen Reading on drums, Colins "Bear" Regisford on bass and Maxine Steen on guitar and synthesizer.[1]
Their discography began with the 2011 EPs Bonerjamz! and Meatslave, followed by the albums Mannequin Pussy (2014), Romantic (2016) and Patience (2019), and the EP Perfect (2021). Their fourth album, I Got Heaven, arrived in March 2024 on Epitaph Records.[1]
Around the making of that record, three members went through breakups and the band spent about two years away from dating to focus on healing and work.[2] Dabice has said the album was their first with producer John Congleton, and it won near-universal acclaim.21
In 2024 the band was named The Ringer's band of the year, but after a demanding run of festival dates they cancelled the second European leg of their tour to protect their health.[3]
