Sienna Spiro

Sienna Ann Spiro was born on September 28, 2005, in London, to jeweler Glenn Spiro, known for work with clients including Jay-Z, Beyonce and the Princess of Wales, and Arabella Spiro^[1]. She has two siblings from her father's first marriage and one from her mother's side, and she has spoken about being diagnosed with ADHD^[1].

She began writing songs at age ten, drawing early on jazz and soul singers including Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone^[1]. After attending Francis Holland School and later East London Arts & Music, she left school at sixteen to pursue music full time^[1]. A viral 2022 TikTok cover of Finneas' "Break My Heart Again" helped launch her public profile, and she began releasing original singles in 2024, starting with "Need Me" and followed by "Maybe," her first chart entry^[1][2].

Her debut EP, Sink Now, Swim Later, arrived in February 2025, and her breakthrough single "Die on This Hill" reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart that October, eventually selling over four million copies worldwide^[1]. In 2026 she wrote and released "Material Lover" for the soundtrack of The Devil Wears Prada 2, her first placement in a film. Working with producers Omer Fedi and Michael Pollack, both established pop hitmakers, she leaned further into a philosophy she has stated plainly: she records only with real musicians playing real instruments, never a computer standing in for one, and never AI, because making things by hand is part of what makes her feel human^[2][3].
