Biography
Slow Pulp is an American indie rock band from Madison, Wisconsin, now based in Chicago[1].
Led by singer and songwriter Emily Massey, the band released its debut album Moveys through Winspear in October 2020[2]. The record was produced by guitarist Henry Stoehr[2].
Moveys was completed during a difficult stretch. Massey returned home to care for her parents after a serious car accident, just as the pandemic began[3], and reviewers noted her earlier diagnoses of Lyme disease and chronic mono[4]. Singles such as Falling Apart showed a slower, slowcore-leaning side of the band, with violin from Molly Germer[5].
