ANIMAL
About this Album
ANIMAL is JO1's first full English-language EP and their official US debut project, released on 2 October 2026.[1] All six tracks were produced by Grammy-winning producer Dem Jointz, who described the project as an 18-minute rollercoaster of adventure, energy, celebration, growth and human connection.[2]
The EP explores freedom, individuality and moving beyond expectations, with the title track, co-composed by member Takumi Kawanishi, centered on letting out a hidden side of yourself.[1] It was previewed by the single "WHATCHA DOIN" on 24 July.[2] The EP entered the Billboard 200 at No. 139, the group's first appearance on that chart, and reached No. 7 on Top Album Sales.[3]
