About this Album
Devotion is the debut studio album by British musician Tirzah, released on Domino on 10 August 2018. Produced by Mica Levi and recorded between 2016 and 2018 in London, it collects eleven spare, intimate songs about love.[1]
Tirzah and Levi described the songs as very simple love songs, built from short loops with improvised vocals and minimal added production.[2] Pitchfork compared the sparse writing to Arthur Russell, and the album holds a Metacritic score of 80.[1] Its lead single was Gladly, followed by Affection and Devotion.[1]
