Grand Prix
About this Album
Grand Prix is Teenage Fanclub's fifth studio album, released in May 1995 on Creation Records, with DGC as a partner label[2]. It was recorded in September and October 1994 at The Manor in Shipton-on-Cherwell and mixed by David Bianco at Larrabee North in Los Angeles[2].
It spawned four singles, "Mellow Doubt," "Sparky's Dream," "Neil Jung" and "About You"[2]. It peaked at number 7 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified silver[2]. Critics praised its warm, reflective tone, and it has appeared on Q's and NME's lists of the greatest albums ever made[2].
