Human Performance
About this Album
Human Performance (April 2016) is a more vulnerable and personal record than earlier Parquet Courts albums. Andrew Savage called it uncomfortable to write and argued that emotional honesty is a kind of intelligence.[2]
Many songs were written at Dreamland Studios in West Hurley, New York, where the band lived and worked around the clock.[3]
Paste scored it 8.1 out of 10, praising its balance of hooks, smarts and sharp edges, and noted guest guitar from Jeff Tweedy.[4]
