Biography
Parquet Courts are a band known for jittery, talky post-punk. By the time of their 2016 album Human Performance they were turning inward, writing more vulnerable and personal songs, in sessions largely at Dreamland Studios in West Hurley, New York.[1][2]
Songwriters Andrew Savage and Austin Brown have described writing the record in close alignment, and critics heard elements of Jonathan Richman, Beck and Wilco in its mix.[1][3]
