About this Album

More Hits by The Supremes was released by Motown on July 23, 1965, and is the group's sixth studio album.[1] Despite a title that suggests a compilation, it collects new material, all written by Holland-Dozier-Holland, recorded at Hitsville U.S.A. in Detroit in 1964 and 1965.[1]

It carries two number one singles, "Stop! In the Name of Love" and "Back in My Arms Again," plus the top 20 hit "Nothing but Heartaches."[1] The record reached number six on the Billboard album chart and number two on the R&B albums chart.[1]
