Palace for the People
About this Album
Palace for the People is the fourth studio album by Greta Van Fleet, released on October 9, 2026 through Republic Records. It was written in a remote Tennessee cabin, recorded in the spring of 2026, and co-produced by the band with Mike Elizondo.[1] The title nods to Alexandra Palace in London, which the band headlined in 2022, and the group describes the record as exploring human connection, resilience, and transcendence.[1]
The thirteen-track album follows 2023's Starcatcher and was preceded by the singles "Play Your Games," "Saw You Stand," and "Tear It Down." The band says the title nods to a Victorian venue built for public gathering, and that the music itself is the palace. Jake Kiszka calls it a rock record at its core but a very modern one.[2]
The album runs thirteen tracks and is the band's first since Starcatcher (2023). The ballad "Saw You Stand" sits tenth in the sequence, and the band describes the record's themes as humanity, connection, resilience, and transcendence.[2] Sam Kiszka has said the band came to see its music as the fans' shared palace, echoing the building the title honors.[3]
