Biography
Greta Van Fleet is an American rock band formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan, in 2012. The lineup is Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar), Sam Kiszka (bass and keyboards), and drummer Daniel Wagner.[1] The group is Grammy-winning and has released multiple platinum-selling records.[1] After a break from public performance that began in late September 2024, the band returned with a surprise show at New York's Bowery Ballroom in May 2026.[2]
The band's return single, "Play Your Games," came out on May 29, 2026, days after the Bowery Ballroom show. It was recorded in Tennessee with producer Mike Elizondo and built from one of the group's oldest demos.[3] It was followed by the fifth album, Palace for the People, due October 9, 2026.[4]
The band's fourth album, Palace for the People, was recorded in Tennessee in spring 2026 and co-produced with Mike Elizondo.[3] Its title comes from London's Alexandra Palace, and the band has described the music as its own palace, built with the fans who found one another through it.[4] The ballad "Saw You Stand" was released as a single on July 31, 2026, and performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that September.[5]
