About this Album
Reward is Cate Le Bon's fifth studio album, released on Mexican Summer on 24 May 2019. It grew out of a year spent away from Los Angeles in a remote village in Cumbria, where she took a furniture-making course and found music returning as a nightly, cathartic outlet. Recording sessions in Stinson Beach and Joshua Tree shaped its sound. Le Bon has described the record as concerned with change, alienation and dissociation, and has called the title word faintly sinister. It was nominated for the Mercury Prize.
