Spiderland
About this Album
Spiderland is the second album by Slint, released by Touch and Go Records on March 27, 1991. It was recorded in four days in August 1990 at River North Studio in Chicago with engineer Brian Paulson.[1] Its six songs favor narrative lyrics about unease, loneliness and approaching adulthood, set to slow, dissonant, meticulously controlled playing.[1]
The band split before release and the record went almost unnoticed at first, yet it became a touchstone for post-rock, and a 2014 remaster scored 99 on Metacritic.[1]
