The Lamb
About this Album
The Lamb is the third studio album by Lillie West's project Lala Lala, released on September 28, 2018 on Hardly Art.[3] West produced the record, with Dave Vettraino engineering and mixing, and Emily Kempf, Ben Leach, and Sen Morimoto contributing bass and vocals, drums, and saxophone.[3]
West has said it was written during a period of intense paranoia after a home invasion, the deaths of loved ones, and violence around her and her friends.[1] Paste heard it as a record about sobriety and the chaos and joys of young adulthood, with water as a recurring image.[2] The singles were "Destroyer," "Water Over Sex," and "Dove."[3] It earned a Metacritic score of 75.[3]
