Biography
Hovvdy is an indie rock duo from Austin, Texas, made up of Charlie Martin and Will Taylor, active since 2014.[1] Both began as drummers and tend to build songs around rhythm before adding guitars and synths.[2] Their early releases include a 2014 EP, a 2015 split with Loafer, the 2016 debut album Taster and the 2018 follow-up Cranberry, all on or around Double Double Whammy.[1] Their sound is often described as lo-fi, slowcore and bedroom-close.[3]
