Biography
The Flaming Lips are an American alternative rock band from Oklahoma, led by singer Wayne Coyne, with multi-instrumentalist Steven Drozd and bassist Michael Ivins as central members.[1] They are known for blending psychedelic experimentation with pop melody and elaborate live shows.
Their tenth album, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots (2002), was made with longtime producer Dave Fridmann at Tarbox Road Studios in New York and widely acclaimed as a high point.[1] The band later adapted it into a stage musical and a graphic novel.[1]
