Benji
About this Album
Benji is the sixth studio album by Sun Kil Moon, released on February 11, 2014, on Caldo Verde Records. It was recorded between March and August 2013 at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco.[1]
Death is the central subject, approached through family stories and news events in plain, diaristic language. Kozelek named it after the 1974 film about a dog, partly for contrast with its dark material. It holds a Metacritic score of 85 and received a Best New Music designation from Pitchfork.[1]
