Into Oblivion

About this Album

Into Oblivion is the twelfth studio album by Lamb of God, released March 13, 2026, via Century Media Records / Nuclear Blast. Produced by vocalist Randy Blythe and guitarist Mark Morton at a self-built studio in Richmond, Virginia, the album was the band's first fully self-produced effort.[1]

The record was written during a period of personal reckoning for the band. Blythe has spoken openly about the album channeling his reflections on mortality and aging, describing the title as referring to "where we all end up, the void we're all heading toward."[5] Morton called it the heaviest material the band had written since [2]Ashes of the Wake.[2]

Musically, Into Oblivion balances the band's signature groove metal attack with moments of atmospheric restraint. Reviewers noted the expanded dynamic range compared to recent records, with Ghost Cult Magazine praising the album's willingness to "let passages breathe before detonating them."[3]

Kerrang! awarded the album four out of five stars, calling it "a late-career triumph that proves Lamb of God remain one of metal's most vital forces."[2] Angry Metal Guy's review was more measured, praising the performances while noting that certain tracks retread familiar territory, but concluded that "when Lamb of God locks in, few bands in modern metal can touch them."[4]

The album debuted in the top ten of the Billboard 200, continuing the band's run as one of the few extreme metal acts capable of consistent mainstream chart success.[1]
